<p>Penn was fine about extra supporting documents, if they didn't repeat or go overboard [like 10 extra pages]. Yale on the other hand says right on their website, if you add/send more than they ask for they feel that you cannot follow directions and/or ignored their request for what they wanted from you. Princeton actually laughed about it at a college info session, saying that they are fine with up to 6 extra pieces, but the apps that send in 10+ are frowned upon.</p>
<p>Adding a resume, so long as they don't specifically say not to, is usually fine. My son added a resume/activity sheet, as well as extra recommendations from his music director, scout leader, and religious leader where appropriate whether it was a special scholarship application or admission app, in addition to the two teacher recs. All were different and all had different things to say, so if it was applicable, he sent it.</p>
