We rec’d the package from Peddie yesterday, but we are on the East Coast. (FYI: merit scholarship info included in package)
I can remember this last year. We were so excited to have an acceptance in hand, but had to wait on pins and needles to see the FA package. It came two days later with the enrollment papers while I was at work. My DS opened the letter and called me with the figures. My jaw just about hit the floor when he told me the figures. I made him take a picture of it and text them to me as I couldn’t believe how generous they had been. I even thought that perhaps he had made a mistake and the amount of aid was actually the amount we needed to pay.
Needless to say, I signed the contract, wrote the check for the deposit and mailed it in within days. I was afraid that there was a mistake and wanted to make sure they couldn’t change their mind!

No scholarship info in the digital letter. I think that’s a bad sign! Did you get the packet in the mail yet? We didn’t. @itcannotbetrue

Ours too! My normally polite soul just nearly accosted the Fed Ex man who was delivering in our neighborhood. Still nothing!

Oh, that is frustrating…totally know what you mean about the cycles of waiting @itcannotbetrue Yes, our package arrived via regular mail and included a letter with a merit scholarship. The digital email on M10 was the same generic one we all received, no indication of any award. (DS had been a finalist during the full scholarship round but didn’t make the final four, so we assumed that was the end of that…@Andoverpublic, sounds like your child went through the same process, so don’t lose hope!)
Sad news on our end: No merit $$ from Episcopal or Peddie :(, but congrats to @Mussels for being awarded one! Waiting on Choate packet. Has anyone received Choate packet yet? Our CA address is becoming inconvenient! @andoverorpublic, how did you make out with Peddie? We are still going to revisit day there on 4/1.
Choate packet came in regular mail today. We are in NE, very close to CRH.

@mussels Did you receive one of the merit scholarships at Peddie for the 2015 year? What do they look for while considering applicants for eligibility towards merit scholarship? Can you tell me what in your opinion helped you qualify. How many merit scholarships do they award a year.
My son is applying to Peddie this year. Would appreciate your response.
I know someone who got a very, very, generous package from Peddie. Good student and an excellent athlete (like among the top in the nation). .
