Is Merit scholarship info in acceptance letter or is that sent later?

S received acceptance letter today; He really likes Drexel but we won't be able to afford it without any merit money.

Just don't want him to get his hopes up-

My D acceptance letter included merit $$$ info

so did mine.

OK, thanks :-(

Yeah, dont feel bad…i thought i would get some money too. I got nothing!! I only got the $250 alumae grant. That is it. I was so ****ed considering I am top quater of my class and have been in all honors and AP classes my whole high school career. But apparently, there must have been more qualified people who applied. =-/

yeah im not too sure as to how they gave out scholarship money; i got 13k/year but wasnt in a ton of honors/APs…and my SATs were a 1770 which is alright.

comes with the acceptance letter :)

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but when you say that merit scholarship notifications come in the acceptance letter, does that include the online decision notification?

No, but there is a PDF at the bottom of your portal. Mine has a scholarship included in that.

@doodleshock Yes. Check the financial aid tab at the top, but like @SurvivorFan said, you can also just look at the PDF of the acceptance letter.

Hey guys! Just a suggestion, you can appeal your financial aid. If you’re interested in Drexel, I’d definitely recommend it. I have a couple friends who didn’t think they’d be able to afford to come here based off what they were initially given, but they appealed and told the school that they were highly interested but simply couldn’t afford it, and they were able to secure more aid. I’m not saying it’ll work for you, but it did for them! It doesn’t hurt to try.

Good luck!
