My DS has been accepted to several schools that offer merit scholarship money (Choate, Episcopal, Loomis, Peddie). If we were not notified already of receiving one of these scholarships, then does that mean that we have not been awarded any $$$? Or, might our notification be coming in one of these Fed Ex packages I keep reading about? Thanks in advance to anyone who has insight, especially in regards to the above schools!
My son received a merit scholarship last year from Choate. He did not find out about it until the package came in the mail (from what I recall a few days later). The GoChoate portal on M10 just showed his acceptance letter, nothing about the scholarship.
I believe Loomis is the same as noted above for Choate. One of my son’s friends was offered a scholarship there - LC Scholar? If I remember correctly from speaking to his Mom that info came in a packet. But it’s been a few years

Sometimes FA is indicated on the acceptance letter. My DD received this notice. Best of luck.
3 years ago S1 received a merit scholarship offer from Peddie and it came with the offer of admission.

Are merit scholarships ever be offered at a later date?
For instance, to keep a top student from attending another school that offered a scholarship.
I’d like to know. I have heard of that sort of negotiating in the college scholarship realm.
I realize Peddie may have changed how they communicate acceptances. We received several documents from Peddie all at once in the same package. It contained a letter of admission that did not reference the merit scholarship. There was a separate document in the package that described the merit scholarship.
My son didn’t get acceptance letter from Peddie, just the online video. When does that come? im curious about the merit scholarship as well. He was a finalist for a full scholarship last month but didn’t get it
@RedsoxFan18: Good to know; hope yet! We are very much looking forward to seeing the FedEx man around here Andoverorpublic: It was the other link under the video link, something like “See more information.” It was not a separate document that you could print like some of the other schools.
PS–if any of you are traveling West to East, book your flights STAT for revisit days. The fares are literally creeping up as I type due to Spring Break/Easter Week.

So you did not receive any scholarship info in the digital letter either? I guess that’s a good sign…
No packages yet! This process is seriously all about WAITING. Waiting for the interviews, waiting for the scores, waiting for the receipt acknowledgement from the schools, waiting for the ACCEPTANCE email, and now waiting for the enrollment packages!!! Has anyone else received theirs for Peddie, Choate, Loomis? I am in CA, so thinking perhaps ours will arrive later?
