I clicked on the link and I guess I am supposed to create a cornell bound account..
after that I have to fill out the forms they require online and submit?

when and how do you do housing application?

thanks envelopes..
so a student can do dining and housing applications online?
are there many choices for first years for housing?

I have checked out the third link.
you have to be at the orientation right and other prefreshmen summer program and pre orientation opportunities are optional right?
and you don't have to sign up for orientation, do you?

oh, and when are housing and dining applications due?
when is the move in day?
is it at the orientation?

Concerning that Cornell Bound website:

We'll begin mailing this packet in mid-April, after we have received your admission coupon and deposit. Please wait until you've received and reviewed your packet before accessing the online Cornell Bound forms. There are exceptions (noted below) to what's available online and what's available at that URL.

If you've read through your dining/housing brochures in your Case For Cornell folder, you'll see that yes, you can do those online. You will also see in those two brochures when these are due. Concerning choices for first year housing, we're all randomly assigned to a dorm in North Campus. Read your housing brochure for more info.

Basically, read through the stuff they gave you :P There's a reason why Cornell sent those! haha

From what I understand concerning Prefreshmen Summer Program / Pre-Orientation / Orientation at http://newstudentprograms.cornell.edu/default.html , it certainly looks like the Prefreshmen Summer Program and Pre-Orientation are optional, while orientation is mandatory. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please :)

Concerning move-in...
[quote]
All new students are expected to arrive on campus to move into their residence halls (or off-campus apartments) on Friday, August 18th. All students moving into a residence hall on North Campus (where first-year students live) are given a designated move-in time based on their last name to help with traffic flow. The move-in times will be sent with housing assignments which are mailed in early summer via US mail. If you plan to arrive on campus before your scheduled move-in time, you will be able to take care of Registration and other errands before you will be permitted to move-in.

envelopes, :) the thing i had I have not received any materials including my financial aid report
I received an email saying that all mails had been returned to the university... I don't know why..so
that's why I ask

I wish I had the brochures to look at and find more about housing and stuff..

lol I see. I was wondering why you asked so many questions when half of them were answered in those packets :P In that case, here are some of the stuff mentioned in the brochures:

Housing
http://housing.cornell.edu/
- Housing applications from first-year students must be postmarked or submitted online by **May 1, 2006/b
- Entering first-year students who apply for Campus Life housing are guaranteed a room assignment. Room-assignment priority is determined by a computer-generated random ranking of all applications received by May 1. First-year student applications submitted after May 1 are processed in the order in which they are received online by the Housing and Dining Office.
- Look through "Undergraduate Housing" in the link provided to see the dorms and communities and whatnot

Dining
http://dining.cornell.edu/
- The suggested deadline for submitting your enrollment form is May 1, but you can sign up anytime.
- Again, rummage around through the link to find answers to your questions :)
