<p>why UMBC? you pay the same amount of money for both school</p>
<p>UMBC is a lot cheaper. at least for me. they offered me a lot more scholarship money. and i think the tutition is cheaper as well.</p>
<p>i agree that umbc def gives out more scholarships to entice students. cp on the other hand shuns people away with little money. for example, i was offered $1500 for 1 year at cp and a full ride at umbc. $1500 for 1 year is a joke. (i was accepted into the gemstone program which i thought would increase my chances at a presidential scholarship...apparantly not). obviously ill be choosing umbc to continue my education.</p>
<p>for people who have to base their decision solely on money, UMD is not always the best choice, i agree.</p>
<p>but if you're going to UMBC for reasons other than scholarships, i'd rethink :P</p>
