I was wondering how long it will take once cornell gets the file for them to send a decision. Their site says something like "starting in feburary" but if you send in your application in in mid december does anyone know how long it will take.

D is soph. in ILR so I've been on cc way too long (d # 2 is HS senior). It seems rolling admission does not start until February and is only for ILR, Hotel and Cals (I think). Rolling at Cornell isn't like most other schools. It seems that only a relatively few kids find out before April. And based on previous years on cc, it seems like there are only 2 to 3 "waves" of rolling acceptances. i.e. 2/18, 3/05, and maybe one other time until all decisions are made by 4/1. So, if you are applying to a rolling admission school at Cornell try not to think about the decision date too much. The majority of "rolling acceptances" came on or about 4/1. By now most of you are finished (or almost) with your college applications. Relax and enjoy your Senior year of HS. Good luck to all. PS- you'll know when the rolling decisions come out if you check cc. Trust me once the letters go out, someone will post. I knew before my d when ILR decisions were out.

it doesnt make sense to me that human ecology isn't rolling admissions... anyone have an explanation why?

Why doesn't it make sense that HumEc isn't rolling?

To the OP: marny is right; last year's experience on CC has shown me that you'd be better off just waiting until 4/1 and not worrying about the application in the interim. If you get in rolling, then it'd be a nice surprise!

Searching thorugh my messages... I was in wave 1 (late february)
