I just finished my freshman year, and I'll be a sophomore once the school year starts. I spontaneously signed up for an SAT class, which has been going well. However, my scores are far from perfect: CR: 730, W:700, M:690. I really want to improve, but I don't know where to start studying. Is it too early? Should I take another class? Is it possible for me to improve?
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP:(

Of course it’s possible to improve. Most everyone’s scores improve year to year so expect your score to increase over time. For me, I improved by doing practice tests, reviewing my mistakes, and looking up words or concepts I didn’t know afterwards. The quality of the class and the work you put it will ultimately decide how much you imrpove. But you have to also wonder whether the improvement came from you or the class.

Just keep working, whether it is independantly or in a class, and don’t worry too much.

Good luck!

Oh my god. I guess this is what I get for going on College Confidential. Honestly, you’re fine. Take it easy.

Pulling scores in the 700-range before sophomore year is very, very good. And this is coming from a 2400. Relax, enjoy your summer, and have fun. Your 2350+ is just around the corner.

Relax, kid. I’m a senior and I envy your scores. Your math will raise itself as you go through your HS classes
