<p>I got one of the National Merit Scholarships and the reply deadline was April 4th, but my mom and I forgot about it and just found it tonight. Is it too late to send it? Are they really strict with deadlines?</p>
<p>Call tomorrow, they've been very nice on the phone the few times I've called. I actually talked to them on the 4th and the woman I spoke with said I did need to either fax or mail that day, and that the mail had to be postmarked the 4th. However, they might be flexible - give them a call.</p>
<p>They are pretty flexible. I won one but forgot about and they kept harassing me until I accepted it.</p>
