<p>im about to be a senior, and i was wondering whatre my chances of getting into a good college....</p>
<p>GPA: 4.4 (no class rank, but at my school, this puts me just below the top 10%)
SATs: 780 m, 730 v, 780 writing
SAT IIS: 790 history, 770 math IC, 730 lit
APs: psychology (5) english lang (5) and world history (5)
ECs: JV track sophmore and junior year, member of the animal relief foundation, 60-70 hours of community service, play the guitar, piano, and clarinet (but not in a band and not really well), worked as a hostess all junior year, summer junior year spent interning at the american civil liberties union
awards: ap scholar...</p>
<p>thats it...nothing special :-/ typical well-rounded rich jewish kid...both my parents went to penn for grad school, does that make me a legacy or is that only if theyre undergrad?</p>
<p>do i have a chance at duke, princeton, penn? or emory, rice, vanderbilt, tulane
any other good schools (preferably southern or mid-atlantic) that i should consider?</p>
<p>duke, princeton, and u of penn are all reaches. you're definately at the top b ut what will make you stand out? you can still get into a good school besides those.</p>
<p>well, some will say harvard is great, while others have an awful experience. i've heard both. the thing is, harvard is not like a pomona, where literally everfyone is happy.</p>
