ahhh can i get into college? :-P

im about to be a senior, and i was wondering whatre my chances of getting into a good college....

GPA: 4.4 (no class rank, but at my school, this puts me just below the top 10%)
SATs: 780 m, 730 v, 780 writing
SAT IIS: 790 history, 770 math IC, 730 lit
APs: psychology (5) english lang (5) and world history (5)
ECs: JV track sophmore and junior year, member of the animal relief foundation, 60-70 hours of community service, play the guitar, piano, and clarinet (but not in a band and not really well), worked as a hostess all junior year, summer junior year spent interning at the american civil liberties union
awards: ap scholar...

thats it...nothing special :-/ typical well-rounded rich jewish kid...both my parents went to penn for grad school, does that make me a legacy or is that only if theyre undergrad?

do i have a chance at duke, princeton, penn? or emory, rice, vanderbilt, tulane
any other good schools (preferably southern or mid-atlantic) that i should consider?

Can you get into college... with a 4.4 and a 1510....

No, you can't.
-_-

yahooo i can :-)
to be a bit more specific...can i get into a really good college, hows that
silly

if you r a typical jewish kid dont apply to Duke... http://www.adl.org/PresRele/IslME_62/4572-62.htm

duke, princeton, and u of penn are all reaches. you're definately at the top b ut what will make you stand out? you can still get into a good school besides those.

I hold all schools below duke in contempt =)

except duke is pretty terrible, read admissions confidential by rachel toor. it's an inside look at duke and the admission process.

it's all about the prestige of going to an Ivy league...I mean people who go to Harvard say the school isn't that great either.

Sorry, sup, but that's crap. I know a lot of people who have gone/are going to Harvard, and that's not what they say at all.

well, some will say harvard is great, while others have an awful experience. i've heard both. the thing is, harvard is not like a pomona, where literally everfyone is happy.

Chelli you're funny ha ha ha!

why thank you, youre funny too

what do you mean, you almost a senior?? lol??

Cheli,
