Does D-mouth accept January scores? Also, I haven't sent any of the schools I'm applying to SAT scores, because I want to wait until I take the January test and send them all at once so I can save money. Will this be a problem? Can I wait until I take the january scores to send my SAT scores to Dartmouth? I'm very very nervous about this!

The Dartmouth website:

"All testing must be completed by January of the senior year in high school. If standardized testing is repeated, the Admissions Committee only considers your highest scores."

The College Board College Search website has this data for Dartmouth:
* SAT Reasoning/ACT score report due by: 01-JAN
* SAT Subject score report due by: 01-JAN

:(

But I'm planning to send the scores after I take the January tests? Does this mean I'm out of the running?

Since you have not taken the january test yet, I would suggest going to the college board website and listing the schools where you want your scores to go out to now (remember you get to send to 4 schools free with the SAT registration) so they can be sent out ASAP instead of waiting until you see what you have gotten then trying to send out your scores.

Dartmouth says they accept January test scores, but if you send those in, you're always risking the chance that it might be too late.

:(

That's what I'm doing. I'm not sending any scores now, but waiting until the January tests are done. When will colleges get January scores if I list them as one of the colleges I send them to?

Not sure about that one. I'd check the College Board's website and see what they say.

Send in whatever scores you have immediately. Then go for the January test. Don't take a chance.
