January SATs

so im pretty disappointed that i got deferred...
but will try to better my app for RD
in comparison to all of the accepted ED students, my SAT/SAT II scores were kind of low. i'm thinking of retaking the SAT in January.
does anyone know if dartmouth will accept january sat/sat ii scores for rd?
thank you!

I'm asking the same question!

All testing must be completed by January of the senior year in high school.

this is from their web-site

does "by January" mean BY January (like Dec 31) or by the END of January? i emailed the admissions office and they have yet to get back to me. but i will let you all know if they email me back. has anyone signed up for the jan sats?

i have the same question. please let me know what you find out

I emailed this question to the adcom about a month ago and they said they do accept and you don't have to rush the scores.

Rushing scores is such a scam. It's all automated via internet so it's not like they have to rush mail the scores.

I completely agree. 26 dollars for an email...yea right. 9.50 is over the top in my opinion. and also I think they make it say one to two weeks for regular sending to scare people into rushing. I haven't rushed any of my scores and they have all gotten there in one to two days.

try not to get scammed by college board, remember that its a business and they're just trying to make money off of you.

For schools like Williams, you have to rush because the normal score sending is not electronic

Why they don't accept electronic score. Why we have to wait 2 weeks in 21st century? It's kinda weird, i think it's sort of idea to make money

Yes, schools like Brown and Williams do not have electronic scoring. The bulk of the colleges however do have electronic score reporting and we are getting cheated when we do rush for these electronic score reports

The best thing to do is to follow each college's instructions..
