Ahhhh First Semester Grades

Hey guys! I am an ED2 applicant for Tufts.

This week is finals week over at my school, and I’m pretty sure that I’m going to get a C in AP Calculus BC. Will this impact my application heavily?? I am freaking out. I had a lot of family issues this semester which really impacted my grades this semester (my grandma has been in and out of the hospital about 6 times since September)

How heavily will my C this semester impact my application?? I am going as undeclared, but I am leaning towards a history major if I do somehow get in (so hopefully a C in math won’t hurt me as much as a possible math major??). Hi there, sorry to hear about your grandmother… That sounds pretty tough. If it were me, I would probably talk to my guidance/college counselor, because they serve to bridge the gap between you and admissions and they can probably offer some credibility to your situation and explain it to tufts. I don’t think one C is a game changer in a tough course. My daughter is facing the same issue.
