Hello all!
I’m absolutely terrified, and am currently writing this at 2.14 am after receiving my first-ever ‘C’ as the average to my Summer B dual enrollment course. I’m so scared this could make or break me? I included context below as to how I am generally as a student; do y’all think that this C could be a defining factor? It’s (thankfully) on a 5.0 scale, so I’ll still have a 4.0 from this course, but it’s going to mess up my gpa and rank for sure.
Context:
ACT: 30
GPA: 4.6
Rank: 9/455
OOS (from FL) for most colleges I’m applying for
I’ll graduate with my full AA degree, work a full time job in the summer/ part time during school year to help w/ family financial stresses, etc.
My EC’s are pretty strong I think; helping to start an underprivileged kids’ essay/writing tutoring service with the writing club I’m the president of at the college where I take my dual enrollment courses. Lots of charity/comm. service/ volunteer work., a few clubs and honor societies, etc.
I’m just so so worried that this C is going to ruing my chances at major scholarships, because my mom makes next to nothing and I have no way of paying for college outside of scholarships, grants, and loans.
My top school by far is UGA, but I’m terrified I won’t qualify now for UGA, or their honors college, or fin. aid.
thank you for your time and for reading this ranting of a very terrified and very stressed girl, and I would truly appreciate any feedback. Thank you <3
