AICE/Cambridge or IB?

I am in an IB school and I have frequent altercations with friends in the Cambridge program about which program/tract is more difficult? prestigious?

What do you think?

bumpp- any ideas??

I’ve never even heard of the Cambridge Program…

Is Cambridge the same as A levels?

If so, I would rather do IB. Less specialized.

Speaking as a Cambridge student, IB is definitely more prestigious.

@Millancad the Cambridge program is actually equivalent to the O-levels. I dislike how my school makes the program seem super-special, when in reality it really isn’t a big deal at all.

Thanks guys :)

Lol, Miami.

Depends how your school does it … if they only offer IGCSE (equivalent of O-levels), then go for IB … if they over AS and A-Levels, then go for the ‘Cambridge’ Program (I really hate that designation, alongside ‘AICE’ … no one ever knows what we’re talking about until we say ‘A-Levels’). A-Levels give you more flexibility than IB. I don’t know about IB HL Chemistry, but A-Level Chemistry is one damn interesting courseload as it covers more than AP Chemistry (in terms of Organic and Experimental Chemistry).

I guess you’re going to Ferguson since you’re between IB and ‘AICE/Cambridge’, so in this case, I’d say go the third way with APs.

IB, AICE, APs, Dual Enrollment, CLEP, Early Admissions, Honors…so many different options

Yes, but if you pursue AICE classes at the A level, then they’re pretty much the toughest post-secondary curricula (with the exception of the language classes)

A-Levels are better than IB which is better than O-Levels (IGCSE).

My school does A and AS Level aice classes so i think that would be better, talk to the coordinators of this program.
