Aid Dispursement

The Financial Aid Bulletin Board states:

"The first disbursement of aid based on enrollment in summer B session is scheduled for July 9th."

Does that mean that everyone will not receive their dispursement tomorrow? Would it go in my bank (direct deposit) tomorrow morning? Does anyone know how this works?

Date sent: Thursday, July 09, 2009From: finaid@mail.ucf.eduSubject: Notice about disbursement of your financial aid award The process of disbursing your financial aid has begun. * Disbursement, the transfer of financial aid from the Office of Student Financial Assistance to the Student Accounts Office, is the initial step in getting your money. * Refunding, which moves any remaining funds from UCF to you, is the final step. You should allow at least five business days for this process to occur. You may see this activity on myUCF. 1. Go to myUCF, Student Center2. Under Finances, My Account, select View Your Account3. Select Account Details for the appropriate term Carefully review the charges and the financial aid payments made to your student account. If you are expecting a refund of financial aid after the payment of university expenses, the refund will be issued through the Student Accounts Office. If you have entered your bank information on the Student Direct Deposit link under Finances, My Account on myUCF, the funds will be electronically transferred into your bank account. If you have not yet done this, a check will be mailed to your “current mailing address” as listed on myUCF. If charges remain, or if subsequent charges are made to your student account, it is your responsibility to pay for them. If your disbursement includes a Federal Stafford or Perkins loan, you may verify the amount of the loan and its disbursement date on myUCF under Finances, My Account, View Your Account. You may cancel all or a portion of the loan(s). If you choose to do so, you must notify the Office of Student Financial Assistance within 14 days of the date of this communication. By completely canceling the loan, you assume full responsibility for any outstanding debts owed to the university. If you choose to cancel a portion of the amount that has been refunded to you via check or direct deposit, then please send your lending institution a personal check for the amount you would like to cancel.Note: Please remember that all loans must be repaid with accrued interest and deducted fees. If you have not yet begun attendance in your classes, then you must return any disbursed funds to us immediately. Withdrawals are subject to the Return of Title IV funds per regulations.
