Wondering if everyone is as bummed as I am.....

Mine still isn't there! It still says "Award access denied"

Just checked and my son's A&S Dean's scholarship is only $3,000 per year. What a joke!!!!!

Yeah, I got "preferred scholar" which is 9,800 renewable for up to 4 years. I'm pretty happy with it. It kind of pales in comparason with Chapman who gave me 21,000 a year...especially since my family doesn't qualify for need-based financial aid. I would have a hard time justifying picking Santa Clara over Chapman...but $9,800 is a lot of money when you think about it.

I agree. We also do not qualify for need based aid but our son received >3x the Santa Clara award from Gonzaga. He actually has decided that he would prefer a larger university setting so its down to either Univ of Washington or Univ of Wisconsin Madison and I'm guessing the former. Congrats on the Chapman award.

Thanks :) Congrats to your son as well!! Those are some awesome choices!!

bmilstead---exactly what mine is. I was so disappointed. Awards from other colleges were 3 to 6 times that amount! And SCU was one of my top 2 choices.

i got 4,200 a year! not including legacy

Last year my brother received offers of $19.5K/yr. from USF and $7.5K/yr. from SCU. He wanted to go to SCU, but my parents couldn't justify sending him there. He's at USF now - I wish SCU wasn't so tight with their money.

Anyone else still unable to access their award? Or is it just me?

My S was offered the $9,800 scholarship, which puts SCU into play versus UCSB. He doesn't know which to prefer, especially as he was offered the Honors program at UCSB.

Wait SCU decisions are out?

lol, they've been comming out for a while

i got $33,600 per year SCU grant and another $9,000 for the cal grant

not quite sure about the cal grant and the loan they're offering
but i'm really excited about the amount of my SCU grant!

Why are you not sure about the Cal Grant? Did you file your GPA form on time?

hey guys, i recently emailed the financial aid regarding alumni scholarships etc. and they said that they will be sending out award offers within this week.

i'm not sure about the cal grant because it says its an "estimated" amount but when I received the actual cal grant letter it said I did not qualify because my GPA was below the minimum. I believe the minimum is a 3.0, yes? and mine is above that so I tried calling their offices but they were closed. I'll try tomorrow
