I got into UNC as an OOS and it'll cost rougly 39,000 per year. When I filed my fafsa, my EFC was 1,700 and UNC says and it's said everywhere that UNC meets 100% of financial need. but I realized that it's include loans too. They're not gonna give me like $15,000 and ask me to get 24k in loans, are they?
how much do you I could get, best and worst scenario?
thanks

its on average about 35% in loans so it will b something like 39000-EFC 1700= 37300. 13055 in loans.

I thought there was a limit to how much loans someone could take

is there any way to get your financial aid reviewed?
i got into carolina and thought i would get more money than i did, and i REALLY want to go to carolina!!

^ If you feel your EFC is incorrect, you can contact the office and appeal. I appealed mine (or rather, my parents did) and got a much better F.A. package, but we had extenuating circumstances which didn’t translate well into the FAFSA or CSS Profile. If your EFC is correct, you can ask, but they probably won’t give you any more grant money.
