Im really grateful for being accepted in UF. In my admission letter UF said that my continued admission for the Fall semester is based on agreeing to accept AIM program and successful completion of senior year. What would be a successful completion, and anyone took this program in the previous years?
Successful completion = graduation
They may also rescind the offer if your grades tank, so keep them up (B’s and a few C’s are fine).
AIM is a great program that’s been put in place at several universities across the country. It’s a program targeted at improving retention of first-year, high-risk students. You’ll get extra advising and attention. You also have to take some AIM specific courses during your first year.
Bottom line, UF plans on spending more $ and resources, on you in the first year, to help ensure you’re prepared for the full 4 year program.
