Like most on this board I want to go to either UC...but leaning towards Cal

I'm currently attending a CCC and hope to transfer as a history major or Asian studies major Fall 2009

So far my transferable GPA is a 3.65 and my history major prep GPA is a 4.0

I've taken 43 units so far and I'm following the IGETC pattern

Planning on taking 16 units in the fall and 15 more in the spring

If all goes well (crosses fingers) my GPA will be 3.72

I have two F's; one in Microecon. and another in Anthro. but have retaken them and gotten A's.

I have done 15 history units so far and plan on taking 6-9 more

Also in the Honors program and EC's

What does everyone think?

Thanks!

I think you have a shot as long as the prereqs are done

Thanks Lackofsense

Only 3 out of 4 prereqs will be done by spring semester though

try to take winter session to squeeze in the last prereq

Only fall spring summer offered

I think you still have a shot. Best of luck!

I think you have a decent shot as well. I agree with everyone, PLEASE finish your pre-reqs in fall if possible. >_<

If you write a great essay you have a very good shot. Good luck!

At UCLA you will have a really good shot. At Berkeley you will have a 50/50 shot since social science department is pretty competitive.

what would be better? apply as a south/southeast asian studies major or a history major? but my prereqs are only for history

history. just write a good essay, but even if u cant, you have a good shot. good luck!

Thanks everyone. Does anybody know who has the best history program and who has the best southeast asian studies program?

i thought yale has the top history program >_> 4got where i heard from tho
