Does anyone have any experience with the Air Force ROTC scholarship?

Specifically, what?...application, chances, the program, benefits, commitment, social stuff, etc.
Many of the people in the Service Academy forums applied to ROTC, some were in them. If you know what major and school you want, look there also. I'll be happy to answer application questions.

I suppose just your general experience with the Air Force program. I know most of the details about the application and going into the air force afterwards... I suppose the big thing I'm interested in is the possible medical careers in the Air Force and how that plays a part in where you are assigned after you graduate.

Yea, I was thinking about doing it. I was either doing that or AFA, but not anymore, but I still know about it. 75% of the people that get full rides are like technical majors (mainly engineering). 25% get to pick w/e major they want. Your major has nothing to do with your assigned job in the Air Force. You could major in European Studies, but that doesn't mean their going to station you in Europe for instance. You could major in a language, but that doesn't mean you will be a translator. Only the engineering majors have an idea of what they will do. You apply for the job you want, but it has very little to do with your major. It's only 4 years though if you don't become a pilot, navigator, or Air Combat manager. Pilot is like 11, navigator 8, and Air combat manager 7.
