Airborne?

what are people's views on airborne. i personally think that it tastes horrible. but i have only had the grapefruit kind. i know that its basic benefit is a super loaded amount of vitamin C. what do people think about it?

Personally, I cannot stand the taste of it, but I take it anyway because I have found that it really does help. I get the lemon/orange? flavor and I usually mix it with a little bit of Sprite and water. It's nasty, but it helps.

DD uses the gummi version and says it is much better.

there is a gummy version of airborne???!!

^yes! i saw them in the store!

in terms of flavors of the kind you drink--
orange= awful
lemon-lime= i actually thought this tasted like sprite
pink grapefruit= heard it's no good.

i don't actually believe in all the benefits of airborne, but i will do whatever might possibly help to keep from getting sick before an audition or show!

My S has used a combination of Airborn and Zicam swabs for a couple of years with lots of success. Also look into personal steamers and Neilmed nasal wash, sounds gross but can really help.

My D uses the Airborne and Zicam swabs too. She like the lemon-lime Airborne. I saw Airborne pixie sticks at Sam's Club the other day - for kids. Be careful how much Airborne a day you take - it is high in vitamin A and if you use it as often as the package suggests, you could get an overdose.

I have actually mixed it with orange juice and it has worked great with a tolerable taste. Oh and it was the pink grapefruit flavor.

Try Emergen-C, it tastes much better and works the same. It is a powder you pour into water. Great for auditions, because you can just pour it into your water bottle. You can pick it up at places like Longs, Safeway, or Trader Joes.

YES, be careful how much Airbone you take in 1 day.
In a past musical, my
D's leading guy sang, danced (& kissed) with her only to finish the scene, exit & throw up from too much Airbone (he was popping them to stay healthy).
Needless to say the show did go on, and
D had more kissing scences (with him) left afterwards. LOL ;-) :-)

Also, I have noticed that I seem much less likely to get a cold after flying if I use a Zicam swab before the flight and as soon as I get off the plane.

My d says that airborn (lemon lime) and the Emergen-C (raspberry) taste better mixed together. She learned this 'trick' working summer stock when a cold went through the cast. You could use half a packet of each to one water bottle or glass of water if you are concerned about too much of the vitamins or other ingredients.

It works. Web take it when we fly.

Yea, be careful how much Airborne and Emergen-C you take...we had an instance where an actor had too much and it led to some unpleasant stomach and gas problems...it was not pleasant for him or the rest of us.

thanks for all the advice. since it is winter, i wanted to know if there was some way to make it taste better. i am deffinately going to try the gummie ones.

I agree, tastes pretty bad but if you pour it over ice its better. I didn't think it would work but I have to admit it probably did!

i tried one of the gummies today. and personally didn't like it. but i believe that there are multiple flavors in one pack of gummies so i am hoping that there are some flavors in the pack that don't taste like vomit. :-D

I recommend adding 2-3 packets of Splenda (or other no calorie sweetener) to my water with the Airborne. It really helps a lot!
