Airport Shuttle or Taxi?

Last time we took a cab from the airport but this time I'm thinking of booking the shuttle...any reason I shouldn't do that? It appears to be about the same cost. The taxi took us through some pretty shady 'short cuts' which I'm assuming won't happen with the shuttle.

The shuttle can stop at a lot of hotels along the way and as my son says “can take forever”. If it is the same cost, I say take a taxi.

OK good to know. Thanks. :)

Agreed. You might want to see if anyone else is arriving about the same time. If so, then sharing a taxi saves a few $$. Even easier to do going back, of course.

New Orleans operates differently that most cities. This can be a good thing. As a Tulane student, my D ended up with her own “personal” taxi driver. “Call me anytime day or night, and I’ll come pick you up.” That association worked out great, because getting a cab to arrive at the appointed place and time can be a challenge Uptown. YMMV.

Agree with the cab share if available. My s would commonly find, especially at holiday times, other students at the airport heading back to campus. Easy peasy, as they say.
