Enough of Bama bashing. It is a great school. You will not go wrong going all Bama…

So I thought I had decided on Alabama but now I’m confused all over again. Can I get some more opinions on the pros and cons of each?

The trolling is strong in this one.

Roll Tide!

No seriously, it sounds like you favor Bama, and there is no reason not to. It is lovely with very good academics and all the extras. My S just finished a campus visit. You can’t go wrong with the honors college perks!

I have no personal knowledge of UCLA but good friends D visited and has been admitted. She will not be attending. Heard too much about big classes, hard to get into needed classes, more than 4 years to graduate.

So did you make a decision? Would love to hear the outcome!

“The trolling is strong in this one.”

This. There are occasionally good reasons to pick Alabama over UCLA (you play football, you can’t afford UCLA, etc.), but most of the reasons in this thread are not legit reasons.

Go with your gut…my daughter also considered Alabama Honors…it’s a great school if u are inHonors and its small classes and priority registration…
Sororities are really really big there… So. Take this into account …but you can do both Honors and sororities. My daughter ended up picking the smaller private school, but it was a hard decision since she did like Alabama. I am encouraging my HS junior son to also apply to Bama since he would get one of their OOS automatic scholarship based on his test scores and GPA and save him a lot of money since he also wants to go med school…if u don’t go to grad school…your mom may help u then with a large own payment on a house here inCA… Many people here comment on a school they have never visited…so don’t give them too much credence…it’s your life, your college experience, follow your gut and pick what feels right. You will get a great education at either school.
