Alabama reception

Mom2collegekids: She learned about her spot in CBH when she got to the campus after moving in. It is the only class she has with my son – she is into science, he’s into social studies/math.

As for why CBH attracts kids into research, my son learned from many of his high school teachers and counselors that many times a student may earn excellent funding (full scholarship in some cases) at the graduate level if they have a strong research background as an undergrad. The program is not your traditional program because of the projects, many that the kids design themselves.

I didn’t think my D would be someone who was interesting in computers either, but when she went to the finalist weekend she LOVED it! She was impressed that the students within the program are a very tight-knit group even though there’s a good diversity of majors. Since many of the graduate programs are highly competitive CBHP gives an edge for these applications.

Ha, love that this post just got bumped up! What a turning point in our lives when we went to that reception. Talk about an answered prayer!
