Albertson College?

Well, I just happened to look at my old e-mail and noticed that Albertson College offered me a chance to apply with their special app, the one that doesn't have an essay or app fee, and then hear a decision in two weeks. Its still well before the deadline they gave me, and I have to say that a free app doesn't sound like a half bad idea.

However, I know absolutely nothing about Albertson College. o.o Does anyone have any experience with the school?

I believe it used to be called the College of Idaho. It's profiled in the 2004 and 2005 Fiske Guide.

A friend's son was "recruited" to ski for Albertsson. Although there is little snow out there, I believe he is happy. From what I gather, he was offered premier housing and other perks due to the sports affiliation. Academically, I'm pretty sure he was a so-so student(B's, a few C's). Does that help?

IT's a very tiny school - about 850 students last time I checked. Not far from Boise which is a nice city. Good academics - definitely a cut above Linfield - but majors and such are limited by the size. They are supposedly very generous with merit money and financial aid. Only 18% of students are from outside of Idaho and it's a bit of a suitcase school on the weekends but they are trying to change that. Average GPA 3.6, 33% ranked in top 10% of their class, Verbal 25-75 rantge 510-630, Math 510-616.

Oooh! Thanks everyone!

Maybe I'll just take a stab and apply. The one thing I worry about is that I probably won't get any aid at all since I'm after the priority deadline and all. But, well, a free app is a free app. ^_^ And, it may make the wait for Whitman a bit easier.
