Does Princeton care if you have alcohol in your room? Anyone who goes to Princeton, if you could just let me know how strict they are about alcohol bottles in your room that would be greatly appreciated.

technically, alcohol isn't allowed unless you are over 21, but it is easy to keep in your room. usu. they only issue warnings if the room inspectors catch it, and if you divide the warnings up evenly between the roommates (ie all the roommates except the chosen one say that they "didnt know about the alcohol") then its ok.

in sub free housing, no alcohol inside the dorm rooms.

yeah, its not difficult at all to have alcohol in your rooms. I don't even know if the room inspectors really even care cause we clearly had alcohol handles in our room out in the open all year, even during room inspections. But I wouldn't take a chance.

thanks for the responses guys

Princeton trusts its students as mature individuals...as a result, booze is fine in the room as long as a) You're not having a raging party and Public Safety comes or b) you have a keg. Kegs are the #1 violation, and you'll get 3 months disciplinary probation if you're found guilty.

Yea, they better not care about booze in the room when they inspect, or else my collection of gin and gin paraphernalia will be ruined, and I would not be able to pretend im British.

Not to mention my ability to radiate anti-noise waves would be worthless.

they do not care. inspectors only come in to see if you have anything that you cant have any fire-hazardous violations (halogen lamps, posters on ur door lol, microwaves that arent approved, etc). everyone i knew had alcohol just laying out and they dont do anything to it. Unless you are having a raging party and someone calls public safety on you, you are safe
