Alex Dunphy (Modern Family) Rejected From Harvard!

Aaaah! So, for those of you who watch Modern Family, what do you think? I think it’s interesting they used real schools on the show rather than making up colleges like typical TV shows do. Plus it seems like pretty good timing since notifications come out today.

As a fan of the show, Sad, I guess?

Sometimes universities do this to make sensational news. Like appearing hard to get. It’s like they reject SAT perfect scorers only to make every body think if perfect SAT scorers are rejected, what are my chances?

Yeah, since so many teens watch it, I’m sure it sent a message to all applicants! Did she get into Caltech? I know she visited, but I didn’t hear anything after that.

^ I don’t think Harvard actually had anything to do with the rejection of a fictional character.

Well yeah, but it’s still interesting that they picked Harvard of all universities. Plus if it’s a fictional show, they could make up a college.

I’m not surprised. I mean, all Harvard has to do is google “Alex Dunphy” to see that she’s not even real. Why would they admit a fictional character?

@hungryteenager‌ : haha! Yeah! I guess the premise is that Alex is “real” and so is Harvard, but she is still rejected. It’s just interesting how they portray her over the course of 5 years and it culminates in that episode where she’s rejected.
