Okay, so kind of off-topic, but the in the "Gilmore Girls" rerun that was on today, Paris was telling Rory that all of the kids applying to Harvard have perfect SAT's and a perfect GPA- it's the extras that put you over the top - community service and EC's-and that she has been volunteering since she was in 4th grade.

Rory says, "So when do you have time to have a life?"
Paris: "I'll have a life after I graduate from HArvard."

And then Rory starts freaking out saying she's 10 years behind in her extracurriculars and that she has to find a mentally-challenged child right now and teach him softball.

It was just really funny because that's what this process does to us all!

omg i used to watch gilmore girls religiously!!!

and at that point in my life (ok i was like 10--lame i know) my dream was attending harvard and then i saw yale on gg and i was like shiiittt i wanna go there
and, several years later, yale is my first choice

oh snap smr you got a swearword past the screen! madd skillz

gilmore girls got so bad after the scenes moved out of stars hollow. the first season was like the only good one. but that was true for monk and a bunch of other once-upon-a-time-good shows. of course that may just be me and my dumb nostalgia.

does nostalgia apply for a time less than 5 yrs in the past?

dchari: yeahh i know i'm pretty BA, cause i can say SHIIIT hahah

yeah actually once rory got to college, gilmore girls wasnt as exciting, and once the dean/jesse drama was being overused, it kind of got boring.
