Hi, please help! I have a horrible teacher for Algebra 2 who literally can't speak English. I'm thinking of not taking math this year. Will this conflict w/AP Chem?

Thank you so much! Any advice is appreciated!

Why are you in AP Chem when you are in Algebra ?

Thanks Amandeep1. I'm sorry - what do you mean? I'm taking both classes (not at the same time).

it shouldnt conflict too much
but your ability with math will be limited compared to the rest of the class assuming they've completed or are in Algebra 2

thanks shubham92! i really appreciate it. yeah, everyone is a genius in my ap chem class. but its algebra 2 necessary for ap chem?

thanks again!

uh, since you do logarithms to figure out pH, i'd say at least algebra 2 is needed, and maybe more...

thanks. :)

I don't think not being in algebra 2 will hurt you for chem. If a topic does come up (like logarithms), take some time to see how to do them, and you should be fine. Shouldn't take you long at all.

thank you so much! i was just about to sign up for a community college class. thanks! i really appreciate it.

When i took ap chem, algebra 2 barely helped me. ALL it did was help me on the last few units that involved logarithms. What helped me was my ability at math, and the fact i was good at math.
