Algebra 2 over the summer?

I currently have the option of taking Algebra 2 over the summer and taking pre-calculus next year, but it would be online. I was worried this would give me a worse foundation and become more of a detriment than a benefit. Despite this, I would be taking pre-calculus next year and be ahead. If you have an opinion on my situation feel free to voice it. Thanks

I have a friend who did this and she’s fine. Honestly, if you’re willing to put in the time and effort both during the school year and during the summer when you’re taking Alg. 2, you’ll be fine.

why? Do you like math?

It all depends on your math competency. If you enjoy math, are good at it, and can catch on quickly then go for it. But Algebra II is a rigorous course and is foundation for higher maths and sciences so you want to make sure you completely understand it.

I don’t recommend it. I’m in Accelerated Algebra II this year. It’s a lot different from Algebra I. If anything, take the class and take precalculus over the next summer if you want to get ahead so badly.

Depends where you are. If you’re in Texas, you should not have problem with it if you have a good summer school teacher.
