hey guys, i need all A students to tell me their schedule after school. What i mean is that after clubs and stuff, u come home rihgt? what do u do? i usually chill for a bit. I procrastinate alot so i need help. Tell me when u start hw, how u do it and for how long? How many minutes per subject? Which subject first?? do u follow hw like the periods in a day where u do 1st period hw first? or do u do all the hardest or easiest first??

Your questions really vary depending upon the student..I dont have alll A's but I;ll tell you that it's not that simple for me. I do my homework in relation to which day it is and what the assignments are. If you know a large event is coming up, do your howmework ahead of time if possible.

It looks like you're looking for a formula to becoming a straight A student. Well sorry, there isn't one.

The types of situations that you are asking for vary from person to person. There will be some straight A students that go straight home after school and study non-stop, getting a full 8-hour sleep every night, while other have after school activities, jobs, and other things while they manage to get As, going to sleep at 2am every night.

You probably won't get any type of consistency in your replies, but as general advice (from a close to straight A student), I would advise you to plan your schedule wisely, making sure that you follow through with all of the work that you need to get done. Try out different combinations of activities, and when you find a schedule that works for you, stick with it. Personally, after my after-school activities, I come home (6pm usually), take a nap, and then start on my work around 8. It varies from day to day on when it ends, but again, you'll have to try out different things and see what works for you. Also, try to ditch that procrastination habit...I know its hard.

I also tend to procrastinate a lot, cc does not help, haha. I get home at about 4:30 every day, on mondays I have until about 5:50 to do homework, get back from city college at around 8:30 to 9:00, and then do the rest of my homework. On tuesdays and thursdays I have cc from 5:00 to 7:15 or so, and do my homework after that.

As I said, I'm an awful procrastinator, so I tend to just mess around during the times between when I get home and when I go to cc, so I end up doing my homework late at night, ussually from about 9 or 10, until whenever I have enough done that I'm sure I can get the rest done in the morning. I would not suggest this. I'm trying to get better at getting stuff done early, and on weekends, so that I don't have to be up so late.

As for order of homework, I ussually start with assignments that I know I can get done in a certain amount of time, for example math homework, or chemistry labs. Then I go onto things like outlining chapters, reading, essays, projects, etc, things that can vary in time. Then I study for tests, which doesn't take a set amount of time at all.

If I'm in a really set zone, I can do homework straight for four hours or so, without stopping, but if I feel distracted it can take ages for me to get anything done.

Hope this helps!

This is a VERY subjective question. Not only does it depend on the student, but also a variety of other things:
-School schedule (traditional, block, etc.)
-Number of extracurriculars
-Sports (if any)
-Home life (do they have a job, etc.)

You're going to get a lot of conflicting answers is my point.

I only have 3 academic classes this year, so I tend to wait until after dinner to do homework. However, once rehearsals for the musical start, I'll have to do HW during rehearsals since we often don't get home until 9-10 PM.

Also, I'm on block scheduling, which makes it easier since we have 2 days to do everything.

usually i get home and then eat, watch tv, go on the computer and then do homework. the actual hmwk usually takes about 2 hours but i love to procrastinate so i stretch it out over a period of a few hours. most of the time i go ahead and do all the easier things first so i have more time for the harder stuff. dont procrastinate!! its evil. i admire the people who have that "just get it done" mentality. unfortunately, that never works for me. oh well, the procrastination works fine for me.

But really, the best way to get As is to spend eight hours a day playing NetHack, then do all your homework between 3 and 5 am. Worked for me in high school. :p
(It's not worked as well at Caltech. Now I only get to play an hour a day or so. Disappointing.)
