All About Math

So today I took the math practice test from the Barron's ACT 36 book, and I got 40/60. There's no scaling guide in the book, but according to the Real ACT Guide that's a 24.
Over the summer I took the practice test from the Real ACT Guide and scored a 29 on math. So I'm thinking that the Barron's one is harder than the real test?
Oh, and on the Barron's one I literally didn't get to about 7 questions or so.
On the real ACTs have you guys felt pressed for time or no?

Barrons is known for making things deliberately harder. It’s their trademark
