Hi all, first post on this site. My two questions to you tonight regarding transferring from Community College to State University in New Jersey are as follows;

- If you have a very low GPA (2.47) but are on track to complete your associates degree by the end of December, should grade trends make any sort of a difference? (FS1- 2.90GPA, SpS1- 1.66GPA, SS1- 1.5GPA, FS2- 2.4GPA, SpS2- 3.65GPA) Note; I changed my major after the spring 2012 semester from Business to Environmental Science.
- Additionally, can extracurricular activities impact any admission decisions in a positive way? (I currently volunteer at a local nature preserve, and am a Director in my CC's Environmental Science club.)

Thank you for your input. Additionally, I could easily scrounge up some good letters of recommendation from my boss, a well known EnviSci professor at my CC and the Volunteer Director at the preserve. Lastly, I know full well that I dug a deep hole, made my share of mistakes and won't make up needless excuses for doing so. I just want to get on with myself in a program that I truly love if at all possible.

P.S - I'm currently looking at Stockton, Ramapo, Montclair and William Paterson. Rutgers would be lovely, but it's probably not in the cards for me right now. Any input on schools would be greatly appreciated!
