Who believes/disbelieves that we was wrong/right in what he said. Not if he should have said it, but whether it was factually accurate.

Ecuse my ingnorance but what did he say?

so he got fired for telling the truth, what a shame

bump honey buns

Apparently the Council on American Islamic Relations did not like that the guy had to say so they raised a stink. Apparently, if you say anything bad about Islam you are supposed to die (at least that is what they told Salman Rushdie) but knocking down a few American buildings and killing a few thousand people aint a big deal.

I just wikipedia'd it and, well, that's something I did not know.

He deserved to get fired. What he said was offensive and disrespectful to Islam He did not simply criticize the religion. He called it a "terrorist orginization"!! Al Queida is a terrorist orginization, not Islam. Yes there are terrorists who follow the religion of Islam. There are are Christians who bomb abortion clinics. If a talk-radio person spoke out and openly criticized them, calling the Catholic Church a "terrorist orginization" or soemthing of the sort, I am sure you conservatives would be outraged as well.

I don't think that's a very good analogy/comparison, GDF. The difference is that Islam followers do not condemn it. And if they do, they don't mean it, they're playing to the media.

It's a matter of degree. I can't remember the last time a Christian bombed an abortion clinic, but terrorism in the name of Islam occurs on a daily basis. 99 percent of Christians view an abortion bomber as a nut who ought to be locked up. Far to many Muslims, however, walk around with T-shirts bearing the picture of Osama Bin Laden.

If a bunch of Christians flew a plane into Mecca, Christians throughout the World would be condeming the action at the top of the voices. When Muslims flew a plane into the WTC, Palestinians celebrated and the rest of Islam nodded with approval.
