All of you freshman making schedule threads.
Please take note and follow these steps.
1. Don't take BS electives if you can take core classes instead.
2. Attempt to test-out of all the pre-reqs you can for AP classes.
3. Take AP classes when available, and College classes when available.
4. Take honors if AP/College is not available.
5. Band/Choir are the only legit non honors/AP electives.
6. Don't stress about your schedule, you're a freshman.
7. Keep your grades up and work on testing out/skipping AP pre-reqs.
8. Make sure your sophomore schedule is full of AP courses.

Basically to sum it up:
Take most rigorous courses possible
Worry less about freshman schedule, and more about sophomore/junior.

Stop making these schedule threads and post in here please.
If you **** people off enough, they will start giving you BS advice.

For a scared applicant who just signed up you sure are throwing your weight around. Back off. If someone wants to make six threads about their schedule or anything else they are free to do so. FYI, there are no BS electives.

“1. Don’t take BS electives if you can take core classes instead.

AND THEN…

“6. Don’t stress about your schedule, you’re a freshman.”

Could you BE any more hypocritical?

edit: ok that sounds mean. i’m referring to chandler from friends (:<3

I also have to agree, no one really cares that you’ve been “lurking for AGES”. people can’t really trust your advice if you haven’t build credibility in your posts…and telling ppl to take calc bc by junior year is ridiculous. you don’t need a schedule full of AP’s sophomore year. i’ve repeated this many times, as long as you are taking the level or slightly above the level of your top peers then there’s nothing to worry about. period.

I do not like referring to join dates/etc. when dealing with this kind of stuff, but hey, multiple people brought it up and attempted to discredit/■■■■■ my thread.

Your old join date leads me to assume that you are unaware of the rising standards.

Especially for 2013 people.

I agree that one should not spend too much effort getting some intense schedule.
However, IF you are able to get such schedules, you should.

Also, depending on which school they go to, top peers may mean nothing.

this is TOO funny. you think i am unaware of the increasing difficulty in getting into tier one schools? you are only a sophomore, I, a junior. i agree that IF you can take this kind of schedule, you should, but by insisting that people should/need/or even have to is, like i previously said, ridiculous.
