All girls boarding schools

DOes anyone have any info on any of the following...Foxcroft, Chatham Hall or coed Virginia Episcopal School?

if you’re looking for all girls, you might also want to try Miss Porters, Emma Willard, Madeira, and/or Annie Wright. Sorry, I can’t help you with Foxcroft or Chatham Hall. VES is great, I almost applied there (but had to narrow the list from around 9 to 4).

My D LOVES Miss Hall’s in Western Mass. Small, nurturing, great academics. And the whole single sex education thing really works. She has so much more confidence than she did at her old public school.

There’s a poster here that’s going to Chatham Hall in the fall (I think?) Leapindoughnuts or something like that is her name? You might want to PM her or do a search of the forum with the names of the schools, I’m sure they’ve come up somewhere on the forum sometime.

I am going to Chatham Hall next year, thanks for remembering : D. I just recieved the new girls packet with lots of info and rules and I’ve been doing research on it for like 2 years since I reapplied this year. So yeah, I’d be happy to helpy you, just pm me. Just something to remember though, I don’t attend the school so I can’t give as great insight as a already enrolled student but anything I can help with I’ll be happy to.

anyone know anything about Foxcroft?

I suggest you look at Emma Willard. It’s an absolutely amazing and gorgeous school. I applied to that school this year :)

I heard Foxcroft has a strong sense of community and an amazing equestrian program, but other than that, no idea.

Emma Williard and MPS are also great, close-knit schools that you might want to look into, by the way. Best of luck with your search!

Stoneleigh Burnham is an all girls middle and High school with both a great riding and a great science program.

Ethel Walker’s in Simsbury CT has a great riding program and is well located near Hartford, so travel in and out for vacations is easy.

2bizee thank you so much, I’m applying to Miss Hall’s and I haven’t been able to find any info about it (except, of course, from their website). I’m glad that she likes it, 'cuz I was worrying that I made the wrong decision about applying there.

^^^ i realize this is super late and ur all probably off cc by now, but i was just super excited

After reading about Chatham every other school including Foxcroft, MHS, and Miss Porters didn’t appeal to me as much as they once did.

Chatham is my dream school!

I almost applied to Chatham! its sooo pretty.
I’m going to either Oldfields or Garrison Forest next year. Both great riding schools if thats what people are looking for (which I was).

Episcopal is very good. I know some kids are going this year, who had plenty of other good choices.

As far as all-girls, may I recommend looking at Emma Willard. Can’t say enough good things about the place.
