Best All-Girls School

OK....since we're all just waiting here thought I'd start a thread asking, Which school would you vote for as the best all-girls school ? And don't just say it cause its the school you applied to.

Miss Porters x 10

If I had to say one I would have to say the one I'm applying to (I have reason) Chatham Hall. It was just really really great there. I felt the "home" feeling every school tries to say they have. Everyone was so nice. No one tried to act differently because we were there. We went in a girls room that night (over night w/ out my mom) and her friends and her didn't try to talk about how great the school was, or how good the academics were. They talked like they would any other night. && I personally really liked that.

i'd have to say emma willard. but it all depends on what you want in a school.

EMMA WILLARD!
It totally beats every one of those overrated co-ed school.
It's not competitive, it was the first all-girls school (so they obviously know a thing or two about educating young women), the campus is absolutely stunning, there is so much tradition, the food is delish, they have a casual dress code, amazing teachers (some have been at the school for decades), huge dorm rooms, mature and highly academically motivated students who still know how to have fun and be silly, a community that [socially] accepts everyone, regardless of color, size, religion, wealth, etc.
Mhm, I think that's it but I'm sure Emmers will be able to think of some more things.
:)

Can we include day schools?
My older sister went to Spence here in N.Y.C, it's considered like the "it" girl school, and collegiate is the "it" boy school, and Dalton is the "it" co ed school here in the city. I remember going to that school when I was little for the first time and the girls practically tore me to pieces pinching my cheeks!!!!
That was such a great day! Hahaha

I think Emma is great too but MPS is also top-notch. Campus-wise, one would fall for Emma anytime. I guess both schools are pretty much neck to neck in terms of matriculation...although some would disagree. D applied to both and she says if she's accepted to both, it'll be like me having to choose between her and her sister!?

Because of Emma's history and continued excellence, I think it is pretty much incomparable to any other school.
I love how it's not snooty or pretentious, everyone is so laid-back and there is just a great family feeling.
And after all, JANE FONDA went there.
:D

Jumstartzoe, what schools did you apply to?
JANE FONDA, WENT THERE? wow

I only applied to one school, Emma Willard.
YES, THE GREAT, ALL MIGHTY, JANE FONDA.

Hahahaha, Jane Fonda is so funny i like her movies i get that distressed crazy chick feeling from her! Have you gone to see Emma?

I've only seen her in that really bad Jennifer Lopez movie and in her 80s work out tapes.
But still, just saying JANE FONDA is like woah.
Hahaha.
I've gone as a prospective once, but for two summers I've gone for their camp.
It's the most amazingly gorgeous school in the universe!

Haha, realy? I thought "Monster in Law" was awesome! Its in my top 25movies of all time! hahaha Wow you must love that school, i havent gone to any summer programs for my school and i think that may go against me seeing how many other kids have, sob sob

Really?
Isn't it like a chick flick?
I don't really remember it that much, like I saw it with some people for my 10 or 11 birthday party, but of course I couldn't really focus because I think kept on getting Milk Duds stuck in my braces or something.
Ew.
Ahahaha.

Hahaha, im hurt! I think it is so funny! I saw it with my friends or should i say ex-friends who ironically are guys! We bought it on movies on demand one boring day haha, my favorite part is when jane fonda smashes the wooden cabinet into the girls ****. hahaha its so funny!

I porposely put the ****, i didnt want to be rude, haha

Yep, that Jane Fonda!
What a hoot.
Hahaha.
I'm trying to figure out what **** is in place of.
Face?

Try a bit lower....thats gotta hurt! lol

Oh, I get it now.
HAHAHAHAHAH.
I probably should watch that movie again, you know, minus the Milk Duds.
