So my IB Geography Internal Assessment is due tomorrow and I'm just starting. Two nights ago I got ~2 hours of sleep and last night I got ~5, because my history term paper was due. I'll be lucky to get 2 hours tonight.

This isn't my sleep schedule every day but once every few months I'll have a week like this. Anyone else do things like this? How does your body respond?

I knew one girl who averaged 1hr of sleep per day… not by her choice though. Almost drove her mad… she ended up not being allowed to take her finals with the rest of us because supposedly she could sue the school if they let her do that on so little sleep

hhaha well what i do is take breaks in between haha which makes me stay up even longer haha but at least i dont get so frustrated! drink coffee and drink alot in the morning haha

mcb52, what do you mean by sue the school for allowing her to take exams on so little sleep? Is there a law for that? That’s interesting, I slept 2 hours a night during final exams and still ended up taking them. I’m not looking to sue though, I just wanted to know more about this.

^ Yeah that’s me, I don’t do all nighters but regular lack of sleep seems to have some effects. I’ve been getting between 4 and 5 hours on average for months now and I seem to have a hard time going to sleep, I can be tired and lie down but my mind doesn’t shut off very much. Not many other problems though, just a lack of energy and constant state of tiredness throughout the day. I’m only ever awake late at night now…

I found this article described me perfectly. Moreover, it was comforting to see all the other nocturnal people in the comments section. We are not alone. ^_^

I’m prob going to stay up all night:( It sucks too because I’m going to see Don Giovanni tomorrow at 7:30. I guess I’ll take a nap as soon as I get home.
