if you are a transfer student post your h.s. stats, current college, college gpa and when you applied, if you were accepted, and how much $ you were offered.

HS: Rank 2/350, SATs 680M, 650V, GPA: over 4.0 weighted, close to 4.0 uw

College: University of Delaware, Biology major, GPA: 3.327 (bah, what a change from hs)

Applied: end of Jan...still waiting

why didnt you apply out of h.s.?

woah definatly my type of thread....if anyone has experiences as a transfer kid, please post...particularly in regards to how housing works, how easy you felt it was to integrate with your class and other transfer kids...

yea my stuff...

HS: 2/63 680 writing/ 690 reading comp./ 730 math / 32 superscored ACT (do they superscore I wonder?) 4.3 W 3.9 UW

college: wake forest 3.36 (yea...freakin grade deflation)

o yea still waiting on response, but i submitted my app like last week so...

where else you appying jayhawk?

wher else did u apply to tayshodd? why are u leaving wake forest? what housing is the best and nicest at tulane?

haha didnt i ask first? im lookin at unc and wash u i think...though i got into wash u the first time and choose not to go, so i dunno

and wake, ahh wake...hmm...well i could go on for a while, but ill just say that a good, respected undergraduate education is not what college is ALL about...the social scene here is sort of lacking for me, but that might not be the case for everyone, as im definatly in the minority on that

I got in on monday but don't have financial info yet.

HS: GPA 3.7
Rank 15
Tons of ECs: volunteering, music stuff.
SAT: Verbal 740
Written 720
Math 660

Current: College Freshman at Gettysburg College
GPA 3.7
Double Major Music, Political Science
Tons of ECs

my college has a lacking social scene and everyone is white, protestant and from PA. It drives me crazy because I"m from a diverse area! I miss the city also.

I'm still waiting to hear...

HS GPA: 3.95
Rank: 24/208
Lots of Ec's
Sat: 1410
Current College: Johns Hopkins University
GPA: 3.31
Major: Public Health

It's hard to make friends here and many of the students are not into socializing in class or in general at all. There is a clear division between those who are fraternities and sororities and those who are not. In addition, the workload is so intense at times that I can't even participate in extracurriculars and I would like a more well-rounded college experience.

bump......

Decision: Accepted
H.S. GPA: 3.7 uw
Rank: Top 25%
Lots of volunteering and working (two jobs)
SAT: 1950

Current college: Howard U.
GPA: 3.5
Major: Anthropology

how long did it take for them to give you an admission decision? when did you submit your application, and how did you find out? (phone, e-mail, application status, postal mail)

I submitted my app the last week of January and I got my decision two weeks ago. I checked online (where you enter your social security number).

I finally finished my total application by the last week of January (as in they recieved my SATs, transcripts and everything) by then. I found out my decision on Monday, so it was a full 4 weeks. But I haven't heard anything about money or even gotten a letter: I got an email and a "you're accepted" message on the Tulane check-your-status thing.

Are any of you considering going down to check out the school?

They say the University of Chicago is the place Fun went to die. If that is the case then Johns Hopkins is the place they sent the dessicated corpse.

I want to go down and check the school out, but I need to find time for that. I haven't received an official acceptance packet or financial package, but I'm glad I know my decision.

If I get my decision within the next two weeks and I get in I'll probably be down there over my spring break.

how many of those old ass gray roman looking buildings do they have? do they have a lot of them or just 1 or 2? those are the nicest coolest things ive ever seen (i saw pictures)

anyone else get in or denied? anyone have bad hs stats and get in?

still no word here... i'm getting anxious
