On Princeton Review, Bryn Mawr is rated as one of the colleges where the students never stop studying.

I am looking for a college that is educationally strong, but I don’t want to go somewhere where all I’ll do is work. I’d like good classes, but not so much work that I can’t enjoy the social and cultural benefits of the college.

Could someone tell me about the courseload at Bryn Mawr and how true this ranking is? Thanks!

This is generally true at Bryn Mawr, but it is partly cultural, not always mandated by the workload. That is, most people could probably get away with studying less than they do, but it's a cultural norm to study all the time, complain about how hard you're working, brag about how many papers you have to write this week, etc. It's part of the campus ethos to believe that everyone needs to work very hard and that it's an admirable thing to do.
