So I'm def. going to Muhlenberg. After all the drama, I've wound up somewhere I NEVER expected. I've lived about 20 minutes away for my entire life (the one really big drawback for me) but I can answer any questions about the area. So if anyone wants to know stuff like:
-nearest/best movie theatre
-entertainment within driving distance
-what exactly is in this farmer's market they keep talking about
-what stores are at the mall or in the mall vacinity
-where the nearest Starbucks is (there isn't one actually...but there is a stand in Muhlenberg and Barnes and Noble does have the starbucks cafe)

or other handy information, just post your questions and I'll answer ASAP

SquirrelGirl - Will you live on campus or at home?

I think Muhlenberg is a wonderful school (I am an alum), and I'm hoping you'll like it. There are certain advantages to being only 20 minutes from home!

On campus.

I def. see a lot of benefits:
-laundry!
-being able to come home if i need a break
-being able to see my sister in plays or other things without devising an entire schedule involving my parents driving four hours back and forth
-knowing my way around

I just think it could be weird with everyone really excited to see new places and new things and figuring out where to go when I already know all of that. If I need to buy a book, I'd be going to the same B&N. If I had to buy some art stuff I'd still be going to AC MOORE. It's just strange to take away a lot of the images I had of myself in college, doing things (which I realized now are really corny) like finding that great coffee shop or trying to figure out the bus system.

I did meet someone who actually LIVED in Allentown her entire life, not just twenty minutes away. I guess she knows it a lot better than me anyway!
