Almost Done: Stuck in a Bottleneck Sequence

Hey everyone. I’m almost done! Getting my college degree is almost a reality!

But I’ve got one little problem… I finish all of my major coursework this semester. I’m left to complete my minor, which I only need 10 hours to finish. In the regular scheme of things, I could take one of the 4 hours during the summer, 3 hours in the fall, and 3 hours in the spring. I can’t double up on classes in any semester since it’s a consecutive sequence.

But that’s a lot of wasted time for just 10 SCH. Any suggestions on how to best utilize my time effectively to get the most out of such a year? I’ve talked to the department for my minor and they’re “considering” a substitution so that I can get out of here sooner than Spring 2017, but I’m not sure if I’ve done everything to perhaps find a better solution.

Any ideas?

So would you graduate this semester without the minor? If so, you should ask yourself if the benefit of the minor is greater than the cost. What is the minor?

I agree…does it really matter if you have that minor? If you are interested in the topic, can you study it another way?

The minor is required for my degree. All majors in the Arts and Sciences department MUST choose a minor.
