I was asked to be an Alpha scholar, what is it? I'm already in the biz learning community, so would this change my housing? Any benefits to being in it? Website wasn't too useful.

I don't think that it is a residential community, but I thought it was only for students in Arts & Sciences, and you are doing business. The problem might come from trying to scedule all the mandatory classes for each.

Email Laura Hanzl, or try calling her: lhanzl2@unl.edu

She's the Undergrad Recruitment Coordinator for A&S and Alpha. I happen to know her very well (she wrote letters of rec for me for medical school), and she'll be able to answer any questions you have. She's extremely nice.

I'm an Economics major through A&S, but still able to gain acceptance into the biz learning community. According to the site, the biz community has 4 required courses, and then Alpha one requires 2(really 1, since biz also requires english). I'm wondering if it's possible to do both because the information I got acted like you could be in a learning community and the alpha one.

Oh, econ through A&S - a rarity, but it's a smart way to go.

Again, contact Laura, she'll really be able to answer any questions you may have, or at least get you to someone who can.
