I'm doing private school applications and most of them have the option of listing an alternate major. However, no other major really stands out to me than my primary one. I'm good at other subjects but I frankly don't see myself having a career related to anything other than my primary. Is this extremely closed-minded? Should I still put an alternate? Would there be a way to get accepted to the college for my alternate then somehow manage to transfer to my primary? Thanks!

When they give a choice of alternate major, they are telling you that they will consider you for that alternate if they reject you for first choice. If you list nothing, you may just be rejected without any second consideration. Thus, it is usually to your advantage to put a second choice. Be aware that one of the majors you can choose in an application is usually “undecided” or something that means the same and, to assure you get that second consideration, you can put that if you do not have a real second choice. As to whether you will be able to transfer to first choice after starting college in second choice, the answer is usually yes but the ability to do so can vary greatly from very difficult to very easy among colleges and even among majors at a college.
