Alternate Majors - UCs

Hello all,

So I’ve recently submitted my UC application, but something’s been irking me.

Some UCs claim that they don’t even look at your alternate major, while others claim that they MAY. Some claim they do, but only for certain colleges within their school (i.e. letters and sciences).

So two requests: Can someone describe to me how the alternate major works, and can someone clear up which UCs count in alternate majors, and which don’t?
