Alternative Medicine

I want to become a doctor but i don't feel good about traditional medicine anymore. i want to be a doctor of alternative medicine. how do i pursue this. do i go to a school other than medical school or what? i am deeply interesting in a holistic (including diet and exercise) approach to health. Thanx

I wouldn’t call diet and exercise alternative medicine. If you are interested in diet, why not become a registered dietician? Most MD’s do not deal with diet issues anymore. Instead, they make referrals to RD when they need intensive diet management for a patient.

If you are interested in complementary/alternative medicine, you can either go to a school specifically for naturopathic medicine or you can get a MD and then get a several-hundred hour program to become certified to practice complementary/alternative medicine (like acupuncture).
