Hello everyone. Unfortunately, I cannot make it to Admit Weekend. Are there any alternatives to this? I know some other universities say that if you cannot make it to their prefrosh weekends then you can contact the Admissions Office if you are visiting at another time (e.g. on a regular day) and they will set something up for you. I’ve never seen such communication from Stanford so does anyone know if Stanford has this sort of program in place as well?
You should be able to arrange a visit for any time this month by contacting the admission office. They’ll put you in touch with a current student who will be your host for the time that you’re on campus.
I personally think that visiting outside of Admit Weekend gives you an experience that more closely resembles the life of a Stanford student.
Thank you @aleaiactaest Would I need to do anything from that point onward? Like would I need to bring a sleeping bag or would the host make arrangements, etc.?
You should bring a sleeping bag since you will technically be staying on the floor in your host’s room. I say technically because I don’t think I slept very much at all during my Admit Weekend (typically stayed up until 4 am talking to other admits and current students), and when I did sleep, I opted to sleep on the couches of the dorm in which I was saying.
Yes. s has this program DD just went and it was fab. They have 1 more. GO!
