Alternatives to Duke TIP

<p>I recently qualified to attend Duke TIP, but I'm not going because three weeks so far away from where I live (Mississippi) just wasn't something I wanted to do. I'm looking for programs that are similar to it now that are about the same length, but are closer to MS, or at least close enough that I wouldn't have to fly there. I was particularly interested in creative writing programs. If you've attended the program you suggest please provide information about your experience. I'm listing my ACT scores if it helps you in recommending a program. Oh, and I'm in seventh grade, if it makes any difference for the programs you recommend. Thanks!</p>

<p>What about CTY? It’s very similar to TIP but I don’t think they have a program in Mississippi though…</p>
