<p>I know it says that it's not an interview... but does it look bad if I don't meet with the person?</p>
<p>I just got contacted too! I took it because the interview is really just the “icing on the cake” (excuse the cliche) and nothing to be concerned about. At the very least, taking it shows that you’re willing to take time out of your day to talk about a college you applied to. </p>
<p>To add to OP’s question, my interviewer and I are meeting at a local Starbucks…how will I recognize her??</p>
<p>neverXclarity, have you checked on linkedin? perhaps she has a profile set up there and there was a picture of her. my son had to decline the Cornell interview due to scheduling conflict. He has a team competition. He did reply and asked for an alternate time, but the alumni never responded.</p>
<p>Mine is tomorrow but it’s over the phone. I’m nervous/excited because my interviewer is a Cornell faculty member who has done research at the university. It’s a great opportunity for the university to get to know you a little better, and for you to ask questions to an actual graduate. It’s supposed to make the admissions process a bit more personal.</p>
